Paula Kersch of Art Storm is now in charge of public art displays at the Higher Education Center in downtown Medford, Oregon. The Higher Education Center (HEC) represents a one-of-a-kind partnership in Southern Oregon between Southern Oregon University (SOU) and Rogue Community College (RCC).
Paula Kersch is a partner and Head of Marketing at Art Storm, LLC. She will be in charge of selecting artists and art to be displayed at the HEC building. Artists currently displaying art at the Higher Education center are Jacqueline Neuwirth, Tina Staples-Angermeier and Jillian Crider. Stop in at the coffee shop and enjoy a cup of coffee while you browse the fantastic art on display.
The HEC is Located in the block bound by East Eighth, Ninth and South Bartlett streets and South Riverside Avenue, the center includes classrooms, a lecture hall, science labs, computer labs, and offices. An atrium-style entryway at the main entrance welcomes students and visitors on the corner of Eighth and Bartlett.

Join us at the Medford Armory for the Clayfolk (the Southern Oregon Potter's Association) Pottery show next week. The shows opens on Friday the 22nd at 4pm. Over 65 pottery artists will show their work and this is a great opportunity to do some early Christmas shopping. This year, give art for Christmas and help support the local art scene and give something that will have value for years to come.
Saturday and Sunday there will be a supervised Kids Clay area where participating artists share their love and knowledge with kids of all ages. The Kids Clay area will be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, as well as Sunday from 11am to 3pm.
REMINDER: ART INSPIRES ASHLAND is taking place this Saturday at the Historic Ashland Armory - doors open at 6pm and presentations start at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online for $25.
The highlight of the weekend will be three featured artists talking about their skills, inspirations and accomplishments in 20-minute presentations held at the Historic Ashland Armory on Saturday, November 16th, 2013. These three artists will also lead workshops during the day on Saturday, aimed at inspiring artists and art lovers.
The three featured artists are Juliette Aristides, classical painter, instructor and founder of Aristides Atelier at the Gage Academy of Fine Art in Seattle, WA., Reina-Marie Loader, film-maker of independent socio-political films from Vienna, Austria, and Lucy Knisley, illustrator, comic artist and author from New York City.
